For 40 years, Fred Rogers has helped young and old alike value their uniqueness, appreciate others, and marvel at the wonders of the world around them. This exhibit extends the timeless messages of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood through an engaging hands-on experience. |
The two exhibits now have permanent homes. One is here in Mister Rogers’ real neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the newly renovated and expanded Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. The second was given as a gift to the children and families of New Orleans, Louisiana. “After witnessing the terrible toll that Hurricane Katrina took on families and neighborhoods throughout Louisiana, “ said Jane Werner, the executive director of the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, “we decided that there would be no better permanent home for the “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: A Hands-On Exhibit!” than Louisiana …an exhibit that embodies a feeling of safety and a spirit of hope.”
For more information about the exhibits you can visit the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh web site or the Louisiana Children’s Museum web site.
